Troubleshooting Your Installation

Please have a look at our FAQ, if you have not already done so.  You may find the answer to your question there.  If not...

First of all, verify that your Access database is operational on the computer hosting the Access2PDF installation. Assuming you can generate your report in the Access environment, then the cause for the inability to produce a report through Access2PDF is likely:

1. One of your parameters conveys incorrect information to Access2PDF or
2. You have a broken COM+ Application configuration.

Remedies

1. If your problem is related to your report parameters, use one of the Examples provided above to test your parameters. Mistakes in a parameter value will return an error message. Five parameters are required. If you attempt to send any fewer your page will be broken with an uncontrolled error message. We recommend that you test your WHERE parameter in your Access report first.

2. If your problem is a broken COM+ Application configuration, reinstall the program.  Be sure that when you install Access2PDF that you are logged in as a user with local administrative rights.

If the Access2PDF installation completed, but the Access2PDF Component does not appear in Component Services as exibited below, then you may need to add the component manually.
